The preparation contains St. John's wort. St. John's wort can modulate the effect of some concomitantly used medications used to calm and treat depression. It may also reduce the effects of indinavir and other antiretroviral drugs used to treat HIV-positive patients. It also reduces the effects of cyclosporine (a drug used after organ transplants) and probably some other drugs, such as hormonal birth control, digoxin (used to treat heart disease), theophylline (used to treat asthma), warfarin (a medicine to affect blood clotting), muscle relaxants convulsions (carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin), triptans (for the treatment of migraines), serotonin reuptake inhibitors (for the treatment of depression).
Patients using cardiac glycosides, antiarrhythmics, diuretics, adrenocorticosteroid, stimulant laxatives (drugs for the treatment of constipation) should consult a doctor before using this product.
Wormwood can modulate the effect of drugs affecting the s.c. GABA receptors (eg barbiturates or benzodiazepines, used to treat anxiety or insomnia). Concomitant use with Stomach tea blend is therefore not recommended.
The product contains wormwood (20%), which can adversely affect the ability to drive and operate machinery. If your attention is affected, you should not perform these activities.
Due to the bitter taste, the product may cause a feeling of stomach weakness, resistance, or even the urge to vomit in sensitive patients. These difficulties disappear spontaneously after discontinuation of the product. Gastroesophageal reflux may worse and heartburn problems may increase. Allergic skin reactions may occur.
If the symptoms of the disease persist while using the traditional herbal preparation, or if side effects or other unusual reactions occur, consult a doctor.
